Hibiscus Festival was a Success!

I had a great time at the Hibiscus Festival in Vero on April 18th! I provided over 200 mini cupcakes for the event... Banana Pecan with Toasted Coconut and White Chocolate with Macadamia Nuts. I also sold regular size cupcakes too in both the flavors mentioned plus Peanut Butter as well!

Here is the Box of Four...

Okay, I have to say I think these are super cute!!! I have to give credit to Hello Cupcake by Karen Tack and Alan Richardson for the Down the Rabbit Hole design... I love it! The Carrot cake design was just a last minute idea and I think it turned out great... the carrots are still planted! The eyes on the chocolate bunny are added by me... they are from a sweet mail order web site I found... http://www.bakeitpretty.com/ I think they really make the bunny come alive!!! And last... who can resist toasted coconut???
You can order this box of four with free delivery in Vero Beach for just $14! Extra cupcakes added to the first four - $3.00 each. One dozen of any flavor or any mix for just $32 ... Order by Thursday, April 9th 532-8995 or email classycupcakes@comcast.net . Delivery on Saturday, April 11th . Sorry, I don't ship cupcakes yet!

Down the Rabbit Hole... Cookies n Cream Cupcakes

I wish I was a better photographer... I made only one of these for a picture... I am going to decorate the other three tomorrow and post them so I will be able to send out an email to offer Easter orders!!! I could not find white circus peanuts so the feet are just butter cream and the pad is a jelly bean half and the toes are mini chocolate chips!

Easter Cupcakes are Coming Soon...

Yes, I am going to offer Easter cupcakes... I will have four different flavors for the holiday... Chocolate with a Bunny... Rich chocolate cake with mini chocolate chips throughout and thick chocolate frosting surrounding a delicious cadbury chocolate bunny standing in the middle of the cupcake with a sweet little flower for a pop of color! Carrot Cake with Cinnamon Cream Cheese... Real carrots, chopped walnuts, chewey raisins and just the right spices make a unforgetable cupcake... top it with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and decorated with a bright orange carrot! Banana Pecan Cupcake with three speckled robins eggs malt candies nestled in a toasted coconut nest in cream cheese frosting.... and finally Down the Rabbit Hole... a hilariously decorated Cookies & Cream cupcake with buttercream frosting and crushed cookies atop (dirt) and green grass all around... all you see of the rabbit is the bottoms of his feet and his cute little cotton tail!

I promise to make samples in the next couple days and send out emails for orders. I will accept orders for four or more... you can have a mixed box of four or special order your favorites in any quanity. I will take orders till Thursday, April 9th for delivery on Saturday April 11th.

So much to do...

Things are going well so far with the plans for Classy Cupcakes new location! I have been shopping for all of the equipment that I will need... I have found some great deals too! I am so sorry to say that I found quite a few things at a business in Stuart that is having to close...I feel so bad for them that it didn't work. At the same time, I am very thankful to find great equipment for a great price!

Dawn is working with me on the lease... she is the office manager for the landlord. She is so nice to work with! And Laura, Chris and Percy from Bella Hair Design (my new neighbors) are so nice too! I know this is the right decision and I can't wait to get started...

The electric will hopefully be turned on tomorrow. The city made the landlord get a permit and inspection before they would turn it back on... because it's been so long. The space has been vacant for two years. I am working with Al Stien the electrician. He is very nice (sorry for the lack of adjectives tonight).

Still waiting to find a plumber that says the right price... I don't really know what the right price is, but I know 5 grand is not the right price!

Then there is finding the rest of the equipment that I need, ordering a new sign, finding the rest of the counters and cabinets for the front room, ordering the glass shield for the cupcake counter, painting the old dresser and other furniture that I want to paint for the space, installing the new floor, putting a big hole in the wall for the new opening, new trim, painting the walls, possibly wall paper a section, and on and on and on...
